World, this world. |
Midwesterner, honorary Scouser, karaoke enthusiast. This used to be my travel blog when I lived in Pamplona, Spain, but now it's serving as a chronicle of my adventures wherever they happen to happen. |
Bus drivers, baristas, bartenders, community organizers, Brunch Club (gone but not forgotten), having the opportunity to work with some wildly talented young poets through Young Identity in Manchester, Toga Time, my surrogate Liverpool family, craft beers, YouTube, the random bloke from New Jersey who emailed me about my McSweeney’s column just to show some love, Gil-Scott Heron, Johnny Cash, lazy football Sundays at the Lodge, emergency ouzo, Maggie Smith and her amazing hats, kung-fu movies, brunch, podcasts, feminist bloggers who keep going in spite of all the haters, Cooper’s Landing, semi-employment, the Muppets, forgiveness, my wonderfully weird and incredibly supportive family, friends in high and low places and all time zones, “Otis” by Kanye West and Jay-Z, fearless journalism, Chicago, having amazing mentors, being able to watch the sunset over Oia, all the opportunities I’ve had this year and getting to know so many amazing people living all over the world.
